Forest Farming Workshop

Join us in the field for a forest farming workshop focusing on the following topics:

• Selecting a good site for forest farming

• Preparing your forest for planting

• Budgeting and business planning

• Considering quality and where to sell your products

This event will be held outdoors at Lincoln University's Alan T. Busby research farm. Come prepared to hike on and off trail on moderately sloping terrain. We will tour active forest farming research areas, walk you through the process of selecting a good site for forest farming, identify trees and other plants, and prepare a site for planting.
